Paper Submission

We will publish the special issues of “Japanese Journal of Applied Physics” for PVSEC-36.

The online manuscript submission site for the special issues have already been opened.

All the presenters are eligible to submit an enhanced version of their abstract/proceedings manuscript/presentation at PVSEC-36 as a full paper to one of two special issues. It should be noted that you are not eligible for submission to the special issue for PVSEC-36 without own presentation at the conference.

The review process for the special issues is completely separated from the PVSEC-36 review process. The standard review will be done on the submitted manuscripts.

Note that the authors of papers published in the special issues are requested to pay a publication charge.

Publication of the special issue papers:
Each paper will be published as soon as possible after acceptance. The review process will be closed by the end of May 2026.

JJAP has been published by IOP Publishing on behalf of The Japan Society of Applied Physics.

Authors of PVSEC-36 contributed papers in all areas are encouraged to submit their original papers on the significant part of their work presented at PVSEC-36. Original papers presented at PVSEC-36 will be accepted as a "Regular Paper" in JJAP special issue.

Authors of invited papers are welcome to submit “Progress Review” or to submit any original part of their presentation as a “Regular Paper” on their presentation given at PVSEC-36.

The submitted manuscript is requested to have no less than 30 references in accordance with the guideline of the JJAP regular paper. It is encouraged to cite your own previous papers and sufficient numbers of related papers to clarify the originality of your paper. The Proceedings Manuscript of their presentation on which the submitted manuscript is based should be referred.
The number of pages is not limited. The length of the submitted manuscript is recommended to be no less than 5 published pages.
Publication charges (article charge) are borne by the authors when the paper is accepted. The invoice will be sent to authors by e-mail from IOP Publishing after the online publication.

How to submit to JJAP Special Issue

All papers should be submitted online through the web site. Authors are requested to register as a user for the system to begin the online submission.
Please visit the following website and select "Submit an article for JJAP Special Issues". ( https://iopscience.iop.org/journal/1347-4065/page/submission-options )
Authors are requested to register as a user for the system to begin the online submission.
Please log in to the submission site with your registered user ID and password.
The submission page requires authors to select the special issue and enter the conference program number.
Please select the special issue named "Photovoltaic Science and Engineering 2025 (PVSEC 2025)".
Please enter your conference program number (e.g. 5 Mo O.11.3) in PVSEC-36 corresponding to your submitted paper.

We are collaborating with the Journal of Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology (TCI Tier 1). Selected manuscripts in areas such as PV in sustainable energy systems, policy, as well as system engineering and field performance, aligned with the journal's scope, will be considered for publication.

All authors who participated in PVSEC-36 are welcome to submit their manuscripts to JMMM (The Journal of Metals, Materials and Minerals), for consideration in the special issue.

Please indicate “Submission for the PVSEC-36 Special Issue” in the cover letter upon submission.

There is no submission limit, and all papers will undergo the regular peer-review process in accordance with the journal's policies.
