Brief CV of Professor Dr. Dusit Kruangam

Professor Dr. Dusit Kruangam got the Dr. Degree of electrical engineering from Hamakawa laboratory, Osaka university, Japan in 1988 for thesis entitled “Characterizations of hydrogenated amorphous silicon carbide alloys and their applications to optoelectronic devices”. In 1988 he came back to Thailand and worked as a professor at the department of electrical engineering, faculty of engineering, Chulalongkorn university, Bangkok. He got several awards from the research works on amorphous silicon alloy solar cells and visible light emitting diodes including Young ASEAN Scientist and Technologist Award, Outstanding Researcher Award from the National Research Counsil of Thailand.

In 2005 He moved to work in private sectors responding on the mass production of silicon solar cells in Solartron PCL and Ekarat Solar Co., Ltd. In 2009 he established his own company named Thai Solar Future Co., Ltd. where made records in the design and installation of PV solar farms and solar roofs more than 70 MWp in Thailand. In 2010 he was a founder of Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association (TPVA) and today he is the honorary president of TPVA. In 2004, Dr. Dusit served as a secretary general of the organizing committee of the international PVSEC-14 in Bangkok, Thailand. During 2014-2020, he was appointed by the Prime Minister of Thailand as a member of National Reform Committee on Energy.

Currently Dr. Dusit is a member of International Advisory Committee (IAC) of International PVSEC and the General Chairman of the International PVSEC-36, 2025 Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Dusit received the Royal Thai Orders and Decorations from His Majesty Royal King Rama Nine as follows: in 2010 Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand and in 2016 Member (Second Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn.

Brief CV of Dr. Krissanapong Kirtikara

Dr. Krissanapong Kirtikara received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Glasgow in 1973. His academic career began when he joined the King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). He was a faculty member of the school of energy and later became the President of KMUTT. Since 1977, he has been a longstanding pioneer in solar photovoltaic (PV) research and applications in Thailand, focusing on solar radiation modeling, rural PV systems, grid‑connected PV, and innovative PV technologies. He founded the Clean Energy System Integration Laboratory at KMUTT, which concentrates on clean energy including solar energy and hydro energy in 1995. Since then the laboratory has expanded into PV standard testing research unit and photovoltaic and hydro systems research unit.

Dr. Kritsanapong Kiritikara is a distinguished Thai engineer, educator, and policymaker. He has significantly shaped higher education policy, university leadership, and energy research. His roles span government, academia, and the nonprofit sector—underscored by national honors, distinguished research awards, and active community engagement. His work achievement included being appointed as the assistant minister of education in 2014, advisor to the minister of science, and deputy director of the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC). Currently, he is the advisor to KMUTT and the Chairperson of the Kasetsart University’s Council.

Brief CV of Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanokkorn Chenvidhya

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanokkorn Chenvidhya obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bangkok, Thailand, in 2007. She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Science from Prince of Songkla University (PSU) and a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from KMUTT. In 2024, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor in Energy Technology.

She began her career in renewable energy as a researcher, focusing on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind energy assessment projects. In 1999, she gained hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluating PV systems at 11 Royal Development Study Centers across Thailand. In 2008, she was part of the pioneering team that developed a professional PV training program through the Train the Trainers project. By 2011, she had designed and implemented PV training courses for system designers, operators, maintenance personnel, academics, and other interested professionals.

With the rapid expansion of Thailand's PV market, driven by both government and private sectors, she took on a key role as a principal professional staff member in the Renewable Energy Research team at the CES Solar Cells Testing Center (CSSC), under the Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute (PDTI) at KMUTT. From 2010 to 2022, she actively collaborated with the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy, on Thailand's PV Status Report project, playing a key role in monitoring and reporting on the country's PV market.

In 2014, she received the Young Researcher Award at the 6th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC) and PVSEC-24 for her research on "Thailand PV Power Plants and Rooftops in 2014." Her research interests include PV system performance, environmental impact assessments, and multidisciplinary studies on system reliability. Notable research projects include investigations into the impact of dust accumulation on PV performance and the effects of environmental conditions on the reliability of crystalline silicon and high-efficiency PV modules.

Brief CV of Dr. Kobsak Sriprapha

Dr. Kobsak Sriprapha received his bachelor's degree in Physics from Silpakorn University in 1994 and master's degree in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in 1998. Since 1999, he has been working on solar cell technology at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Thailand. He obtained his doctoral degree (D.Eng.) in Physical Electronics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, from the Konagai-Yamada Laboratory in 2008. He was the head of the Solar Energy Technology Laboratory (Solartec) at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), NSTDA, from 2009 to 2018.

Dr. Kobsak has extensive experience in solar cell fabrication technology, particularly thin-film silicon solar cells, and in solar PV systems, including the development of PV modules, PV on-grid systems, and PV microgrid systems. He has received several awards for his research work, including the Best Paper Award for his oral presentation entitled “p-type hydrogenated silicon oxide thin film deposited near amorphous to microcrystalline phase transition and its application to solar cells” at the International Union of Materials Research Societies International Conference on Electronic Materials (IUMRS-ICEM 2010), which took place in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He also received the Best of the Best Award from the IP Innovation and Technology Expo (IPITEx 2014), organized by the National Innovation Agency and the Ministry of Science and Technology in Thailand.

Currently, Dr. Kobsak is a senior researcher at NECTEC, and his research interests focus on PV systems and applications, such as performance evaluation of PV system, PV microgrid systems, and energy management systems.

Brief CV of Dr. Amornrat Limmanee

Dr. Amornrat Limmanee received bachelor's degree and master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2005, followed by her D.Eng. in Physical Electronics from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2008. After returned Thailand she has been working as a researcher at Solartec, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand. She has a long experience with basic and applied research in the areas of photovoltaic and solar energy systems including surface passivation layers for crystalline silicon solar cells, PV indoor and outdoor testing and characterizations. She received the Best Poster Presentation Award on the presentation entitled "Actual Performance and Degradation Rate of Different Types of Photovoltaic Modules: A Case Study in Thailand" at the 6th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion 2014 (WCPEC-6), which took place in Kyoto, Japan. With recent NSTDA re-organization, she has moved to National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) in 2020. Now Amornrat is Solar Photovoltaic Research Team Leader. Her research interests and responsibilities focus on PV performance and reliability under tropical climatic conditions, PV fault detection and PV sustainability.

Brief CV of Prof. Dr. Viboon Sricharoenchaikul

Dr. Viboon Sricharoenchaikul is an accomplished academic and energy expert, currently serving as the Director of the Energy Research Institute (ERI) at Chulalongkorn University. With a distinguished career spanning research, education, and institutional development, he is committed to advancing ERI’s mission of driving sustainable energy solutions and supporting Thailand’s energy transition.

Dr. Viboon earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in thermochemical conversion processes. He also holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology with first-class honors from Chulalongkorn University.

Beyond his role at ERI, Dr. Viboon is a professor in the Department of Environmental and Sustainable Engineering where he played a key role in strengthening the department’s research capabilities and leading major projects. His academic expertise spans renewable energy from waste materials, energy efficiency, and heterogeneous catalysis, fields in which he has published extensively and gained international recognition. He also directs the Energy Technology and Management Program, mentoring students and fostering interdisciplinary approaches to energy challenges.

Recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists, Dr. Viboon has received multiple prestigious awards for his research and contributions to the energy sector. As he begins his tenure as ERI’s Executive Director, he is dedicated to positioning the institute as a leading force for innovative energy solutions in Thailand and the ASEAN region.

Brief CV of Asst. Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham

Assistant Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham received her Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona in 1989. In 1995, she received her doctoral degree in electrical engineering specialized in solid state and III-V compound materials from the University of Cincinnati, USA. She started her academic career at the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat university, Thailand. Since the year 2000, she has been a full-time faculty member at the department of electrical engineering, Kasetsart university (KU), Bangkok campus. She was involved in and responsible for the faculty of engineering’s international affairs for over 20 years.

As for her research work, she has shifted her research area from semiconductor materials to photovoltaic (PV) fields since 1997 by collaborating with a clean energy research group at the School of Energy, Environment and Materials, King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thonburi (KMUTT).

Currently, she is a faculty member at the dept. of electrical engineering, KU, and also an advisor and a joint researcher for the Clean Energy Systems Integration laboratory (CESi), Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute, KMUTT. The research has been on designing, implementing, installing, monitoring, and analyzing PV systems and pico hydro turbine in remote areas.

Brief CV of Dr. Yaowanee Sangpongsanont

Dr. Yaowanee Sangpongsanont has successfully completed her PhD in Energy Technology at The Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE), King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand. She is now the Manager of Research and Development Department at the CES Solar Cells Testing Center (CSSC), Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute (PDTI) of the King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

Her research is primarily focused on the reliability of PV systems and the degradation of PV modules. She has experiences in the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation laboratory, where she has conducted tests on PV modules and batteries for PV systems in compliance with IEC standards. She is also a lecturer for special training courses on the topics of "solar energy," "solar cells and applications," and "PV performance according to IEC61724." She is an expert member in the IEA PVPS Task-13 working group.

Brief CV of Dr. Songpakit Kaewniyompanit

Dr. Songpakit Kaewniyompanit finished the Bachelor degree of electrical engineering from King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand in 2002. The Ministry of Education, culture, sports, science and technology, Japan granted him to be a research student in Osaka university since 2002. He received the Master degree of electrical engineering and PhD. of electrical, electronic and information engineering in Osaka university, Japan in 2005 and 2009, respectively.

After he came back to Thailand, he joined Thai Tabuchi Electric Co., Ltd. in 2009 in the product research and development for grid connected PV inverters. He continued his work for developing PV inverters in the VPP environment with Sanix Inc., Japan in 2019. His expertise is on the grid connected PV inverters, virtual inertia, system stability, energy management and industrial process.

Brief CV of Mr. Chaphamon Chantarapongphan

Currently, Mr. Chaphamon Chantarapongphan is a senior executive vice president & head business development at SUPER ENERGY CORPORATION PCL, Thailand. He is also the head of SUPER ENERGY Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the President of SUPER CARBON X Co., Ltd. He has experiences on energy executives with 25+ years in finance, construction, and renewable energy, leading SUPER ENERGY’s growth in Thailand and Vietnam exceeding 1.5GW installed capacity. He holds M.Sc. in smart grid technology and BBA in finance & banking, with AEC business leadership programs from Bangkok Bank, YTEA8, IMNES1, and LTD1. He was a former senior role at Precision Control (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and a founder of Thai Ocean Cable before joining SUPER in 2014.

Today he is a vice chairman of the Renewable Energy Industry Club (FTI), chairman of the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association (TPVA), and advisor/board roles in renewable energy associations or RE100TH. He is recognized for driving solar, wind, solar+BESS, smart grid, and carbon credit initiatives in ASEAN.

Brief CV of Mr. Mrutyunjaya Nanda

Mr. Mrutyunjaya Nanda (MJ) is a seasoned clean energy expert with over 9 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region, specializing in solar PV and energy transition initiatives. As the leader of the Technology and Markets portfolio at Asia Clean Energy Partners, he brings deep technical knowledge and market insights across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar.

His expertise encompasses project management, feasibility studies, technical due diligence, grid integration assessments, market research, and regulatory compliance. MJ has successfully led numerous projects ranging from 5MW to 150MW, covering technical reviews, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement for both utility-scale and commercial PV installations. He has substantial experience advising on grid interconnection, substation design, and energy policy development, notably through his contributions to GIZ’s SIPET platform and various ADB-supported initiatives.

Previously at Tractebel and currently at Asia Clean Energy Partners, Mrutyunjaya’ s comprehensive regional experience spans nine countries, providing him with a robust understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and investment facilitation strategies crucial for advancing clean energy adoption in Southeast Asia.
